REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Power and a prominent non-banking financial company (NBFC), has announced robust loan disbursements totaling ₹90,955 crore for the half year ending September 30, 2024, marking a year-on-year increase of 20.10%.
The renewable energy sector saw remarkable growth, with loans in this segment surging 92.68% year-on-year to ₹11,297 crore. In the second quarter of FY24-25, REC disbursed ₹47,303 crore, reflecting a 13.71% increase from ₹41,598 crore in Q2 FY23-24. Notably, renewable energy loans in this quarter reached ₹5,946 crore, a significant jump of 37.35% compared to the previous year.
These figures underscore REC Limited’s commitment to supporting the renewable energy transition and its overall growth trajectory in the financial sector.
