CBDT: Three IRS officers appointed as Principal Chief Commissioner

Three IRS officers were appointed (In-situ) to the grade of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (CCIT) (level 17 in the pay matrix) for the panel year 2024: Purushottam Tripuri (IRS IT: 1989) Harshvardhini Buty (IRS IT: 1989) Satish Sharma (IRS IT: 1990)As notified all three would continue to hold the charge of the post (presently held) till their formal posting.It may be underlined that the first two would be attaining superannuation age in March 2024 & July 2024 respectively whereas Satish Sharma will be retiring in August 2026.
