Vikram Singh Malik, a 2012-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Malik’s central deputation tenure will be for a period of four years from the date he assumes charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. His appointment is in accordance with the Central Staffing Scheme, which facilitates the placement of capable officers in key positions at the Centre. Malik has previously held various administrative responsibilities in the Union Territories and other regions under the AGMUT cadre.
