Arpitha S, an officer of the 2015 batch of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes), has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Digital Media Wing under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. As per the official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), her appointment will be under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The Digital Media Wing is a strategic division within the ministry, responsible for managing and strengthening the government’s communication through digital platforms. With her background in taxation and administration, Arpitha S is expected to bring valuable expertise to the role, especially in an era where digital communication plays a pivotal role in public outreach and policy dissemination.
