Prashant Kumar, an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) from the 2011 batch, has been appointed as Director in the Technical Support Unit (TSU) under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Delhi.
His appointment is for a combined tenure of five years, effective up to September 18, 2027.
This strategic move is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen policy and project implementation frameworks within the DPIIT. Kumar brings with him extensive experience from his tenure in the Indian Railways, which is expected to contribute significantly to the technical and administrative functions of the TSU.
