Tarun Kumar Pithode, a 2009-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as the Member Secretary of the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM).
Before this appointment, Pithode was serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEF&CC). The appointment aims to strengthen the functioning of the CAQM, which plays a key role in monitoring and improving air quality across the National Capital Region and adjoining areas.
