After the recent resignation of Rachita Juyal (IPS: 2015: UK), another senior police officer from Uttarakhand, Lokeshwar Singh (IPS: 2014: UK), has tendered his resignation from the Indian Police Service (IPS). Singh has been selected for a position in an international organisation affiliated with the United Nations.
Currently serving as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Pauri, Singh has submitted his resignation and sought the necessary approvals from the Police Headquarters and the State Government to take up his new assignment. Once the approvals are granted, he will be officially relieved from his duties in Uttarakhand.
During his 11-year-long career, Singh served in several important districts including Haridwar, Dehradun, Bageshwar, Champawat, and Pithoragarh. Known for his commitment to public service, he played a key role in maintaining law and order, enhancing police response mechanisms, and strengthening community safety across the state.
