The Government of India has issued a series of appointments and tenure extension orders across key departments and public sector undertakings:
- Dr. Anju Rathi Rana appointed Member Secretary, 23rd Law Commission of India
Dr. Anju Rathi Rana, ILS, who is presently Secretary, Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law & Justice, has been appointed as Member Secretary, 23rd Law Commission of India. She will serve till the end of the Commission’s term.
- Tenure extension for Dr. Rajiv Mani
Dr. Rajiv Mani, ILS, Secretary, Legislative Department, Ministry of Law & Justice, has received a tenure extension from 09.01.2026 to 31.07.2028, the date of his superannuation.
Additionally, upon the relieving of Dr. Anju Rathi Rana, Dr. Rajiv Mani has been entrusted with the additional charge of Secretary, Department of Legal Affairs, until a regular incumbent is appointed.
- Tenure extension for CVO, Cochin Port Authority
The tenure of Thillaivasan Prabhu (IOFS: 2001), Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Cochin Port Authority (CoPA), Kochi, has been extended for 2 years, from 26.12.2025 to 25.12.2027.
- Tenure extension for CVO, Western Coalfields Ltd.
The tenure of Ajay Madhukar Mhetre (ITS: 1998), CVO, Western Coalfields Ltd. (WCL), Nagpur, has been extended for 2 years beyond 26.12.2025, i.e., up to 26.12.2027.
