Lakhs of farmers in Bihar are eagerly waiting for the 22nd installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. According to sources, the installment may be credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts before Holi. However, the government has not yet announced an official release date.

The major relief this time is that along with the central scheme, farmers may also receive benefits under the Karpuri Thakur Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. This means that instead of ₹2,000, eligible farmers in Bihar could receive up to ₹3,000 in their accounts.

21 Installments Already Released

So far, 21 installments have been released under the PM Kisan scheme, with the 21st installment credited in November 2025. Under the scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually in three equal installments.

During the Bihar budget announcement, the state government added ₹3,000 annually under the Karpuri Thakur scheme. As a result, farmers in Bihar may now receive a total benefit of ₹9,000 per year.

When Will the 22nd Installment Be Released?

The 22nd installment is expected to be released either in the last week of February or the first week of March. In 2025, the installment was also released toward the end of February, leading to similar expectations this year.

Important Requirements to Receive Payment
Farmers must ensure the following details are updated to avoid delays:
e-KYC must be completed
Farmer ID should be generated
Aadhaar must be linked with the bank account
Bank account details must be correct
Land records should be updated

Any discrepancy in these details may prevent the installment from being credited.
How to Check Installment Status
Farmers can check their installment status online by:
Visiting the official website: pmkisan.gov.in
Clicking on “Know Your Status” or “Beneficiary Status”
Entering Aadhaar number, mobile number, or registration number
The payment status will then be displayed on the screen.

Farmers are advised to update their details in time to ensure smooth receipt of the upcoming installment before Holi.
