Punya Salila Srivastava Given Additional Charge of Health Research Secretary

Punya Salila Srivastava (IAS: 1993: UT), currently serving as Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Secretary, Department of Health Research for a temporary period.

According to the official order, Punya Salila Srivastava has been assigned the additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Health Research, from 28.02.2026 to 09.03.2026. She will hold this responsibility during the leave period of Dr Rajiv Bahl.

Srivastava is a 1993-batch IAS officer of the UT cadre and is presently heading the Department of Health and Family Welfare under the Government of India. The additional assignment ensures continuity in administrative functioning and policy-level decision-making in the Department of Health Research during the absence of the regular incumbent.

The arrangement is temporary and will remain in effect until Dr Rajiv Bahl resumes charge after his leave period.
