Jaipur: On the eve of Rajasthan Diwas, Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajan Lal Sharma unveiled the pictorial digital views of the Rajasthan Mandapam and allied infrastructure through a video presentation at the Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur. This unveiling marks a major milestone in Rajasthan’s journey toward world-class urban infrastructure, reinforcing its position as a progressive and investment-ready state.
The ambitious project is being developed by RIICO with NBCC as the executing agency. NBCC will implement the project through a robust, self-financing model, ensuring financial sustainability, transparency, and global standards of efficiency. The total project cost is estimated at over ₹5,800 crore, making it one of the most significant urban infrastructure initiatives in the region with substantial economic and social impact.
Project Execution and Convention Centre Highlights
NBCC plans to float tenders in April 2026, marking the transition from planning to execution. Leveraging its expertise in landmark infrastructure projects, NBCC will ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
At the core of this transformative initiative is the Rajasthan Mandapam Convention Centre, designed as a world-class, multi-scale facility capable of hosting:
International conventions and exhibitions
Cultural performances and high-level events
The convention complex will feature:
Padam Mandap (grand auditorium, ~6,500 seating capacity)
Swarn, Tulsi, and Kadam Mandaps
Banquet halls, summit spaces, meeting rooms
State-of-the-art concert arena
Master Plan and Mixed-Use Development
Situated near Jaipur International Airport, the project will span over 90 acres with a total built-up area of 94.53 lakh sq.ft. The master plan includes:
Convention Centre: 9+ lakh sq.ft.
Expo Halls: ~7 lakh sq.ft.
Global Capability Centres (GCCs) & IT/ITES Offices: ~18 lakh sq.ft.
Hotels, retail facilities & housing: 10.76+ lakh sq.ft.
Natural History Museum: 1.77+ lakh sq.ft.
Riverfront public spaces, Unity Mall, Fintech Plaza (~69,000 sq.ft.)
Ample parking (~32.5 lakh sq.ft.)
The development emphasizes connectivity, sustainability, climate-responsive design, and pedestrian-friendly public spaces, ensuring long-term urban resilience and liveability.
