As per the official order, his tenure has been extended for a period of one year beyond March 31, 2026.
Ved Prakash Mishra, an Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) officer of the 2004 batch, will continue to serve in the key position, contributing to policy-making and implementation related to environment, forests, and climate change.
The extension ensures continuity in the ministry’s ongoing initiatives and administrative functions.
