Akhilesh Misra, a 1995-batch officer of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), who was serving as Executive Director (Personnel) at the Food Corporation of India (FCI), has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre. The repatriation, at the Joint Secretary level, comes before the completion of his tenure at FCI.
No official reason has been provided for the premature repatriation. Misra had taken on the key HR responsibilities at FCI and was involved in personnel management at a critical time for the organization.
