Anupama James has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) at the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on a deputation basis for a period of five years. She is a 2013-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Odisha cadre. Her appointment is expected to strengthen the NIA’s efforts in countering national security threats and further bolster the agency’s operational capabilities.
