A total six Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of various cadre and different batches have been empanelled to hold Joint Secretary or Joint Secretary equivalent posts at the Centre. The name of these officers are as follows:

Siva Sankar Bandi has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). He is a 2012 batch IDAS officer.

Ms Hansha Mishra has been appointed as Director in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). She is a 2010 batch IA &AS officer.

S B CBI D Kalyana Chakravarthy is returning to the parent Madhya Pradesh cadre after completion of central deputation tenure. He is 2010 batch IPS officer.

Rumours are rife that Secretary Land Resources in the Government of India Manoj Joshi may return to the parent cadre Kerala as Chief Secretary. He is 1989 batch IAS officer and senior to the present Chief Secretary.

The bureaucratic circle is agog with an express order issued by Delhi government’s water minister Atishi Marlena directing Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar (IAS: 1987: UT) to monitor that water and sewer system functions at optimum level in the entire city.
