Patna (30.12.2024): The Bihar government has rejected the resignation of Kamya Misra (IPS: 2019: BH) and instead granted her 180 days of leave starting from November 2024. As part of a reshuffle within the state’s police force, she has been attached to the Bihar Police Headquarters, where she is awaiting a new posting as Superintendent of Police.
Kamya Misra had resigned from her position as the Rural Superintendent of Police (SP) in Darbhanga on August 6, 2024, citing personal reasons. Her husband, Avdhesh Saroj Dixit (IPS: 2019: BH), currently serves as the Superintendent of Police in Gopalganj, after previously holding the position of City SP in Muzaffarpur. The couple, both well-regarded within the police service, married in 2021.
