In a significant move, the Delhi administration has appointed two senior officers from the AGMUT cadre of the Indian Police Service (IPS) as Special Commissioners of Police in Delhi.
Vivek Gogia (IPS: 1991: AGMUT) has been appointed as Special Commissioner of Police (Special Cell), succeeding R P Upadhyaya (IPS: 1991: AGMUT).
Manish Kumar Agarwal (IPS: 1996: AGMUT) has been appointed as Special Commissioner of Police (Operations), overseeing PCR & Communication, along with an additional charge of Technology & Project Implementation.
