The Government of India has temporarily upgraded the post of Director General of Hydrocarbons in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas from the level of Additional Secretary to that of Secretary.
This upgradation will be in effect from April 21, 2025, to May 31, 2025.
The post is held by Pallavi Jain Govil, a 1994 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Madhya Pradesh cadre. The decision reflects a temporary elevation in responsibilities associated with the post during the specified period.
