In a recent reshuffle, four IAS officers in Bihar have been assigned new responsibilities. Anand Kishore, currently Chairman of the Bihar School Examination Board, will now also take on the role of Principal Secretary for Finance, in addition to his existing charge of Principal Secretary for Urban Development & Housing. Lokesh Kumar Singh has been posted as Secretary of Rural Development, with the added responsibility of Secretary for Tourism. Abhay Kumar Singh has been appointed Secretary of Urban Development & Housing, and will also oversee IT, the Bihar State Electronics Development Corporation, and the Patna Metro Rail Corporation. Deepak Anand, Secretary of Finance, will now additionally manage the Labour Resources portfolio.
