The Government of Gujarat has enacted a major reshuffle of IPS officers while election process is on. The reshuffle was done with the concurrence of the ECI. The name of these officers are as follows:
Gagandeep Gambhir (IPS: 2004: GJ) has been appointed as Inspector General of Police (Administration), Gandhinagar by downgrading the cadre post of Additional Director General of Police (Administration), Gandhinagar.
Raghavendra Vatsa (IPS: 2005: GJ) has been appointed as Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), Surat City by upgrading the cadre post of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), Surat City.
Sharad Singhal (IPS: 2006: GJ) has been appointed as Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), Ahmedabad City by upgrading the ex-cadre post of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), Ahmedabad City vice Neeraj Kumar Badgujar (IPS: 2008: GJ).
Neeraj Kumar Badgujar (IPS: 2008: GJ) has been transferred and appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police, Sector-1, Ahmedabad City.
Chaitanya Ravindra Mandlik (IPS: 2011: GJ) has been appointed as Superintendent of Police, CID (Crime), Gandhinagar.
Manish Singh (IPS: 2013: GJ) has been appointed as Superintendent of Police, MT, Gandhinagar.
Usha B Rada (IPS: 2013: GJ) has been appointed as Commandant, SRPF, Group-6, Mudeti, Sabarkantha.
Ajit Rajian (IPS: 2015: GJ) has been transferred and appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Ahmedabad City.
Dr Lavina Sinha (IPS: 2017: GJ) has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Cyber Crime), Ahmedabad City vice Shri Ajit Rajian (IPS: 2015: GJ).
Himanshu Kumar Verma (IPS: 2018: GJ) has been transferred and appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-1, Ahmedabad City.
Rupal Solank has been appointed as Staff Officer, DGP office, Gandhinagar.
Bharti J Pandya has been appointed as Superintendent of Police, Technical Service, Gandhinagar.
