Lucknow Bureau (NSB) : On National Space Day, Hon’ble Jal Shakti Minister Shri Swatantra Dev Singh addressed a diverse audience including state government delegations, central agency representatives, and students from various schools at a workshop organized by the Irrigation & Water Resources Department of Uttar Pradesh. The event aimed to raise awareness about India’s advancements in space science among the nation’s youth.
Minister of State for Jal Shakti Shri Ramkesh Nishad also attended the event. During his address, Shri Swatantra Dev Singh emphasized the pivotal role of space science in modern water management. He stated, “Collecting daily data on water availability and operation from dams, reservoirs, canals, and barrages across the state is only possible with the help of space science. Therefore, we should continuously seek to enhance its effectiveness.”
