Prashant Kumar Singh (IAS: 1993: MN), who was serving as the Secretary in the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Manipur. This decision came after the Centre gave its approval, and the Government of Manipur officially confirmed the appointment.
According to reports from Indianmandarins, the government had considered three senior IAS officers for the role, including Prashant Kumar Singh, Rajesh Agarwal (IAS: 1994: MN), and Vivek Kumar Dewangan (IAS: 1993: MN). Ultimately, Prashant Kumar Singh was chosen for the critical position, marking a new chapter in the administration of the state amidst ongoing challenges.
