
(NSB.News) : It is classic case of callousness and poor service provided by the rail authorities in India. The family of a man staying in Sector 17 Noida was travelling in Sampurnakranti Special train from Delhi to Patna in second AC in November 2020. A purse belonging to a lady from the family got stolen at night in the compartment. As soon as the train reached Patna, she complained to the Railway GRP, but there was no action. She then lodged a complaint with the state consumer forum of Bihar after reaching Patna. After hearing her complaint, the consumer forum after a trial said that the fault lies with the services proved by the Railways. It asked the General Manager East Central Railways to compensate the lady with Rs one lakh along with a 12 % interest.
