In a recent administrative reshuffle, ten IAS officers in Punjab have been assigned new roles. Vikas Pratap, ACS-cum-Financial Commissioner, Excise, has been given the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Governance Reforms and Public Grievances. Alok Shekhar, ACS, Jails and Justice, will also handle the additional charge of ACS, Cooperation.
Ajoy Kumar Sinha, PS, Finance, now takes on the additional responsibility of PS, Power and New and Renewable Energy, as well as Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited. Kumar Rahul, Administrative Secretary for Health and Family Welfare, will also oversee the Medical Education and Research portfolio.
Other changes include Priyank Bharti, Administrative Secretary for Science, Technology, and Environment, now also handling the Forests and Wildlife Preservation department, and Sheena Aggarwal, Director and Special Secretary, Social Security, Women and Child Development, who gets the additional charge of Commissioner, NREGA. Sandeep Kumar has been posted as Additional Registrar (Administration), Cooperative Societies, and Sagar Setia as Additional Secretary, Higher Education and Languages. Ravinder Singh will serve as Additional Secretary for Labour, while Harjinder Singh is appointed as ADC (General) in Gurdaspur.
