The Bihar government has announced the promotion of three IPS officers and the reassignment of two others. Sudhanshu Kumar, the Additional Director General (ADG) of Traffic, who was also holding the additional charge of Civil Defence, Bihar, has been relieved of his additional responsibilities. Anusuya Ransingh Sahu, previously serving as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Civil Defence in Patna, has been promoted to the position of Inspector General (IG) of the same department.
In addition, Vivek Kumar has been promoted and transferred to the position of DIG in the Crime Investigation Department (CID). Mohammad Faroguddin has been promoted and appointed as the DIG-cum-Deputy Commandant General of the Home Guard and Fire Services Department. Mrityunjay Kumar Choudhary has been moved to the position of DIG in the Vigilance Investigation Bureau. These moves are part of the state’s ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of its law enforcement and public safety systems.
