Vijay Kumar, an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), has been appointed as the new General Manager (GM) of Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW), located in Chittaranjan, West Bengal.
In his new role, Kumar will oversee the operations of one of the most prominent locomotive manufacturing units in India, which plays a critical role in the production of electric and diesel locomotives for Indian Railways. His leadership will be vital in driving operational efficiency, enhancing the manufacturing processes, and ensuring the timely delivery of locomotives to meet the growing demands of the railway network.
