In a recent administrative reshuffle, the West Bengal government has transferred several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. Khalil Ahmed has been appointed as the Principal Secretary for the Fire and Emergency Services Department. Dushyant Nariala takes over as Additional Chief Secretary of the North Bengal Development Department, with an additional charge of Principal Secretary for the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA). Manoj Kumar Agarwal has been made Additional Chief Secretary for the Forest Department, along with the additional charge of ACS for the Disaster Management & Civil Defence Department.
Other significant postings include Anshul Gupta, who has been appointed as Special Secretary for the Mass Education Extension & Library Services Department, and Sana Akhtar, who takes over as Director for Child Rights & Trafficking. Sumant Sahay has been posted as Joint Secretary for the Department of Information Technology & Electronics, while Anindya Mitra has been made Special Commissioner in the rank of Special Secretary at the Food & Supplies Department.
Tejasvi Rana has been appointed as Director for the Social Welfare Department, and Goutam Kumar Ghosh will serve as Special Commissioner in the rank of Special Secretary at the Finance Department. Additionally, Shaikh Ansar Ahamad has been shifted to the role of Additional District Magistrate in Malda.
