The Bhoomi Poojan Ceremony for the new Boys’ Hostel at Hindu College, University of Delhi’s North Campus, was held with great enthusiasm. The construction project, valued at approximately Rs 70 crore, has been entrusted to NBCC (India) Limited. This endeavor will be executed on a Design, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) basis, with a focus on sustainability through the incorporation of solar power systems. The hostel aims to achieve a GRIHA 3 Star rating for green building.
The ceremony was graced by several notable figures, including Prof. Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor of the University of Delhi, Dr. Vikas Gupta, Registrar of the University of Delhi, and Prof. Anju Srivastava, Principal of Hindu College. Key representatives from NBCC included K.P. Mahadevaswamy, CMD, and Saleem Ahmad, Director (Projects). Ashwini Shanker, Chairman of the Hindu Education Trust, also attended, along with other senior officers and distinguished guests from both institutions.
