Monika, an IPS officer of the 2014 batch from Himachal Pradesh, has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary in the Department of Rural Development. Her appointment is for a tenure of four years, during which she will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of key rural development initiatives and policy formulation.
Her role is expected to enhance the department’s efforts in improving rural infrastructure, governance, and livelihoods, in line with the state’s broader development goals. Monika’s administrative experience as an IPS officer is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the department’s functioning.
