Recent Appointments and Tenure Extensions of Senior Government Officials

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the following appointments and tenure extensions across various ministries and departments:

Ashish Kumar Gupta (IOFS: 2002) – The tenure of Ashish Kumar Gupta, Director in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, has been extended for two years up to 15th July 2027. His central deputation began on 16th July 2020.

Mustaq Ahmad (IDAS: 2006) – The tenure of Mustaq Ahmad, Director in the Ministry of Mines, has been extended by one year up to 6th June 2026. He has been on central deputation since 7th June 2019.

Kushagra Mittal (IRTS: 2010) – The tenure of Kushagra Mittal, Director in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has been extended by one year, now up to 10th August 2026. He commenced his central deputation on 11th August 2020.

Ajai Kumar Verma (IDSE: 2000) – The tenure of Ajai Kumar Verma, Director in the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), has been extended by one year up to 1st July 2026. His deputation began on 2nd July 2020.

Balakrishnan V (IPS: 2003: TN) – Balakrishnan V has been appointed as Inspector General in the Border Security Force (BSF) against an existing vacancy.

Sanjeev Kumar Singla (IFS: 1997) – Sanjeev Kumar Singla, currently the Ambassador of India to France, has been concurrently accredited as the next Ambassador to the Principality of Monaco, with residence in Paris.
