New Delhi, Sanjay Singhal (IPS: 1993: UP) has been appointed as the Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). His tenure will continue until his superannuation on December 31, 2028.
An officer of the 1993 batch of the Indian Police Service from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, Singhal brings with him a wealth of experience in policing, internal security, and border management. His appointment comes at a crucial time as the SSB continues to play a vital role in securing India’s borders with Nepal and Bhutan.
He succeeds in taking over the reins of the force tasked with safeguarding some of the country’s most sensitive frontier regions.
