Vedant Kanwar, an officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) from the 2016 batch, has been inducted into the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as Superintendent of Police (SP).
His appointment is for a period of three years, as per the official notification issued on Monday. Such deputations are part of the routine process to bring experienced officers from various services into central investigative agencies to strengthen their operational capacity.
