The tenure of Dr. Himanshu Roy (IRS IT: 2011), serving as Director in the Department of Pharmaceuticals, has been extended for a period of three months beyond 15th October 2025, up to 15th January 2026.
Dr. Roy has been on central deputation since 5th September 2023.
Officials said the extension has been approved to ensure continuity in key policy and coordination work within the department.
Dr. Himanshu Roy, an officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax), has previously handled several assignments related to taxation, public policy, and administrative reforms before joining the Department of Pharmaceuticals.
