Madhya Pradesh has emerged as the state with the maximum representation at the top bureaucratic level in the Government of India. At present, as many as ten IAS officers from Madhya Pradesh are serving as Secretaries or Secretary-equivalent officers in various Union ministries and departments.
This strong presence reflects the state’s growing influence within the central administrative framework. Officers from Madhya Pradesh are currently handling key portfolios at the policy-making level, playing a significant role in shaping governance and administration at the national level.
