The Government of India on Friday issued key appointment notifications, announcing that Puneet Agrawal (IFS: 1997) has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Thailand.

New Delhi : Puneet Agrawal, a senior officer of the Indian Foreign Service (1997 batch), is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs. With extensive diplomatic experience, he is expected to further strengthen the growing strategic, economic and cultural ties between India and Thailand.
Thailand remains an important partner for India under its Act East Policy, with cooperation spanning trade, defence, connectivity, tourism and regional multilateral frameworks. Agrawal will assume his new assignment shortly.
