In a notable administrative development, the Government of India has appointed Vikash Kumar (IPS: 2020: CH) as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the National Investigation Agency.
Kumar, a 2020-batch IPS officer of the Chandigarh cadre, is set to take on responsibilities related to handling sensitive investigations and national security matters. The National Investigation Agency is the country’s premier counter-terrorism law enforcement agency, tasked with probing terror-related offences and other cases of national importance.
His appointment is expected to further strengthen the agency’s operational capabilities in tackling complex security challenges across the country.
