The government has announced a series of important bureaucratic appointments and changes, including new postings in key ministries and diplomatic assignments

In a fresh round of administrative reshuffle, Prashant Panwar (IAS: 2015: HY) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Coal for a period of four years.
Meanwhile, S Vineeth (IAS: 2013: TN) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in the Ministry of Education. He will serve at the level of Deputy Secretary for a tenure of five years.
In another development, Hitesh Kumar S Makwana, who is currently serving as Surveyor General of India in the Survey of India, has been repatriated to his parent cadre to avail the benefits of promotion.
Further, Neha Bansal (IAS: 2010: AGMUT) has been empanelled for holding the post of Joint Secretary or equivalent at the Centre, marking a significant step in her administrative career.
On the diplomatic front, Surinder Bhagat (IFS: 2007), currently serving as Joint Secretary in the ministry, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Ghana. His appointment is expected to further strengthen bilateral ties between India and Ghana.
