Astik Kumar Pandey has been appointed as Director in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment for a period of five years.
Pandey is a 2011-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Maharashtra cadre. His appointment to the key position in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment has been approved for a tenure of five years.
The Department of Social Justice & Empowerment functions under the Government of India and is responsible for welfare, empowerment and social justice initiatives for disadvantaged and marginalized sections of society.
