Preetinder Singh Padda, an Indian Posts and Telecommunications Accounts and Finance Service (IP&TA&FS) officer of the 2013 batch, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
As per the official order, his tenure in the department will be for four years. DPIIT, functioning under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, is responsible for promoting industrial growth, facilitating investments, and framing policies related to internal trade and business reforms in India.
The appointment of Preetinder Singh Padda is expected to further strengthen the department’s administrative and policy-related operations.
