Rajesh Panwar, a 2012-batch Indian Economic Service (IES) officer, has been appointed as Director in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
According to the official order, his appointment will be for a tenure of five years. DPIIT functions under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and plays a key role in matters related to industrial development, investment promotion, and internal trade policies in the country.
Rajesh Panwar is considered to have significant experience in economic and administrative affairs, and his appointment is expected to strengthen the department’s policy and administrative functions.
