New Delhi, July 4: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of four Indian Police Service (IPS) officers for appointment to the posts of Additional Director General (ADG) and ADG Equivalent in the Government of India.

The empanelment, cleared by the ACC on July 2, 2026, makes the officers eligible for appointment to senior leadership positions at the Additional Director General level in various central ministries, departments and organisations.

The officers empanelled are:

Hanif Qureshi (IPS: 1996: Haryana)
Solomon Yash Kumar Minz (IPS: 1997: Madhya Pradesh)
S. Sengathir (IPS: 1997: Rajasthan)
Naveen Arora (IPS: 1997: Uttar Pradesh)

Empanelment at the ADG level is a significant milestone in the career progression of IPS officers, enabling them to be considered for key assignments in the Government of India, including Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), central police organisations and other important national security and law enforcement institutions.
