A 1992 batch IAS officer is poised to take over as the Chief Secretary of Goa following the recent vacancy created by the appointment of Puneet Kumar Goel (IAS: 1991: AGMUT) as Secretary of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes on October 19, 2024.
Puneet Kumar Goel served as Goa’s Chief Secretary since February 1, 2022, after being transferred to the state in July 2019, where he initially held the position of Principal Secretary. The new appointment is anticipated to bring fresh perspectives to the state’s administrative framework.
