The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the in-situ upgradation of Vikram Dev Dutt’s position as Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation. He will now serve in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. Dutt, a 1993 batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, will continue to lead the DGCA with enhanced authority and responsibility.
