Amit Sharma (IAS: 2012: AGMUT) has been appointed as Director of Census Operations / Director of Citizen Registration (Deputy Secretary level), Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, on a full-time basis. His tenure will be up to 31 December 2025.
The appointment has been approved by the Competent Authority in the Ministry of Home Affairs. As Director, Sharma will oversee census-related activities and the implementation of citizen registration functions in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
