In a significant development, Anish Dayal Singh, the current chief of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), has been appointed as the Director General (DG) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). This decision comes following the retirement of S L Thaosen on November 30, with Singh having held the additional charge of CRPF during the interim period.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has sanctioned Singh’s appointment as DG, CRPF until December 31, 2024, aligning with the date of his superannuation.
