Anish Prasad (IPS: 2003: TR), currently serving as Executive Director, Vigilance (Police) in the Railway Board, has been appointed as Inspector General in the Border Security Force (BSF).
His appointment comes on a lateral deputation basis and will be effective up to June 21, 2026. Prasad, a senior IPS officer from the Tripura cadre, brings extensive experience in policing and vigilance, and is expected to play a vital role in strengthening the BSF’s operational and administrative framework.
