Chakraborty’s second tenure in this role will commence from May 5, 2024, and extend until May 4, 2027, subject to approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). With extensive experience in finance, economic policy, and infrastructure, Chakraborty retired as Secretary of the Department of Economic Affairs in April 2020.
