New Delhi : Ashwani Kumar (IAS: 1992: AGMUT) has been appointed as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Delhi. Currently, Ashwani Kumar is Principal Secretary (Home) in the Government of Delhi. It may be underlined that on the merger of three municipal corporations of Delhi, Kumar was appointed as the first Special Officer of MCD. In his first full-fledged role as MCD Commissioner Ashwani Kumar replaces Gyanesh Bharti (IAS: 1998: UT).
