Ashwini Bhide, an IAS officer of the 1995 batch from Maharashtra, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Bhide, who previously served as Managing Director of Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC), takes over from Brijesh Singh (IPS: 1996: MH). Known for her instrumental role in overseeing the Mumbai Metro project, Bhide has been a key figure in driving the city’s major urban transportation initiative aimed at alleviating traffic congestion.
