Birendra Kumar Mishra, a 2012-batch officer of the Indian Statistical Service (ISS), has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Union Minister for Panchayati Raj and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh. His appointment will be effective until March 31, 2028.
The decision to appoint Mishra as OSD comes in light of his administrative experience and expertise, which are expected to contribute significantly to the functioning of the ministries under the leadership of Minister Singh.
